Edison Elementary School would like to recognize kindergarten teacher Danielle Johnson as part of the Ken-Ton weekly spotlight. Danielle is a collaborative and dependable member of the Edison kindergarten team and is always willing to share ideas, step in to help, and work alongside others to make sure their students and staff are successful. Her positive attitude and team-first mindset make her an essential part of what they do each day at Edison. Danielle’s dedication and selfless drive show up in everything she does. She consistently puts the needs of her students and coworkers first, working hard behind the scenes to help everyone thrive. As the leader of the school's Wellness Committee, she brings people together and helps create a positive, uplifting culture for the staff. Her care for the school community is genuine and constant. In her classroom, Danielle creates a safe, inclusive space where every child feels valued and capable. She intentionally builds a growth mindset culture, encouraging her students to take on challenges, learn from mistakes, and keep trying even when things feel hard. She helps her kinders see that overcoming obstacles is part of learning—and that they are strong enough to do it.
