8/6/25: Update Regarding NYS Prohibition of Internet-Enabled Personal Devices in Schools

All school districts in New York State are now required by law to prohibit all internet-enabled devices during the school day, which was enacted as part of the state's 2025 fiscal year budget. At yesterday’s Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Cimato provided an overview of the new district procedures which will be in effect beginning with the 2025-26 school year. The district will also host a public forum on Thursday, August 14th from 5 to 6 p.m. inside the Kenmore West High School auditorium. The forum will be livestreamed via Youtube Live. Participants can ask questions in person as well as remotely via Youtube’s Chat feature. Superintendent Cimato and district administrators will answer questions as they come in both live in person and via Youtube Chat.
